For remote activation of messages and live voice announcements, local operator consoles (LOC) and microphones are available for the SAFEPATH voice evacuation system (SP40S), including the SPRM, a remote microphone for additional access, and the SP4-LOC, which includes SAFEPATH LOC and an SPRM remote microphone. Both were designed for the SP40S and the WAVES Autonomous Control Unit (ACU-8421). In addition, the SPMNS-MIC microphone is a dedicated microphone for the SAFEPATH MNS (SPMNS).

SPRM

The SAFEPATH Remote Microphone (SPRM) is designed for use with the SP40S. It is a supervised, hand held push- to-talk microphone that is key enabled and can be mounted in remote location, up to 2,000 feet away from the SP40S. Remote microphone usage disengages background music and general paging. The SPRM priority level is 2, and the SP40S on board microphone is priority 1.

Approvals: UL 864, CSFM, and UFC 04-021-01 2002 compliant.

SP4-LOC

The SP4-LOC is a Local Operator Console and Remote Microphone, designed for indoor use with the SP40S and the ACU-8421 for integrated mass notification applications and can be mounted up to 2,00 feet away. The SP4-LOC contains the SPRM remote microphone and 8 black push on/push off buttons which provide a contact closure used to activate the SP40S digital messages. An optional HVAC Emergency Shutoff mushroom push-button kit is available.

SPMNS-MIC

A dedicated microphone for the SAFEPATH MNS (SPMNS), the SPMNS-MIC is a supervised, hand held push- to-talk microphone that is key enabled. The priority level of the SPMNS-MIC is 1, the SPMNS on-board fire microphone is a lower priority.

Approvals: UL 2572 for MNS, UL Standard 864, 9th edition and CSFM. It is UFC 04-021-01 compliant.
