xStorage Home is an energy storage system, housed in a single unit, that integrates a battery pack and an hybrid inverter. xStorage Home provides solar power storage, harvesting renewable energy produced during the day to use in the morning, at noon and at night. xStorage Home also provides households with energy if the grid fails, powering preferential devices like for example lights and security systems.

xStorage Home 3P makes it easy to store clean energy in medium to large sized homes with a three-phase installation. This is ideal for storing self-generated PV energy up to 25 kWh and making this energy available for use at any time for heavy loads, such as EV charging, heat pumps and other home equipment. Eaton xStorage Home 3P is a battery-ready three-phase inverter combined with leading battery storage systems of choice and Eaton’s protection devices which provides installers and homeowners with an energy storage solution that is easy to install and use in homes. The battery-ready feature enables homeowners to add more batteries at a later point in time if they want to further increase their solar self-consumption or increase the use of renewable energy to charge their electric vehicles.

Eaton xStorage Home 3P is suitable for on-grid and off-grid applications and combined with a battery storage system also provides backup power for the critical loads in less than three seconds. The installation of the system doesn’t require a personal computer, cables or internet connection and the system is then accessible through an LCD touch screen or through the web.

xStorage Home can be used for multiple applications.

Maximize solar energy consumption

During the day when the sun is shining, xStorage Home powers the load directly with renewable energy thereby lowering homeowners energy costs. It can also charge the battery with renewable energy if homeowners are not at home for use later in the evening when they’re back home.

In the evening, it is peak time as everybody is back at home and needs power. xStorage Home uses the energy stored in the battery to power the load. If the energy demand is very high, it can also release it to the grid to support the needs of other households.

In a nutshell, here is what happens in a day:

Lower electricity bills

xStorage Home can be specifically useful when the maximum power consumption of the household is limited by the energy provider, for example through a utility contract.

Any consumption above the contracted maximum peak power consumption will be penalized and the homeowner will be charged accordingly.

With the xStorage Home peak-shaving mode, these additional energy costs can be avoided, since the excess energy consumption will be covered automatically by the xStorage Home system, charged either from the solar panels during the day or from the grid during times of low energy demand.
