Garnishing Talent

At Eaton, we believe that openness to diversity widens Eaton's access to the best talent and inclusion allows us to engage the talent optimally. Garnishing Talent embodies our focus on inclusion and diversity and commitment to excellence and continuous learning that extends much beyond the organization's boundaries.

Organized by Eaton and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Garnishing Talent is a program aimed at enhancing employability of women engineering students.

Empowering Female Engineering Talent

Since its launch the year 2011, Garnishing Talent has been providing a solid platform, every year to women engineering students from vernacular, semi-vernacular and rural backgrounds (at selected colleges) to acquire appropriate soft and social skills that are critical to achieve individual and professional success.

The program was designed based on a need-gap analysis done at various colleges that brought to light the need for training engineering students (especially female) on various communication skills that are essential to make them ready for the job market.

The success of Garnishing Talent over the years has been more than just encouraging. Year on year, we have been able to reach out to more students and make a difference to their lives. This program started with a handful of students and has now grown to 120+ students benefitting each year amounting to a total of 1000+ students till 2021.

Employees as Mentors

We are glad that our employees are also a significant part of this initiative and are enabling students to become industry ready and enhance their competitiveness. The talent, energy, skills, and other competencies that Eaton employees donate to our community projects hold significant value for Eaton.

We believe in living the Eaton values and hence are also deeply committed to our people, communities, the academia, the environment and the industry. Through this program, we get an opportunity to advance our efforts and reach out to such students on whom lies the responsibility of further strengthening and sustaining a robust workforce for the industry.
