Our programs empower communities, strengthen ecosystems and build leaders who bring about long-lasting change in the communities, this is all possible through our integrated and curated platform – Eaton India Foundation. 

The Company’s commitment is to uphold far-reaching and long-term sustainability standards. The CSR activities in India are focused on impacting the communities on three basic themes – Health, Environment, and Education. Under each theme, the Foundation has identified core program areas.

Nurturing health and well-being - 

We work on promotive and preventive health with programs curbing malnutrition, enhancing physical and emotional well-being of excluded communities. Our program organizes health-check ups, health awareness, and support to access health care services. We work with grassroots organizations to make our interventions stronger and more effective.

• Support childcare institutions, which offer education, safe space, and care to over 400 children belonging to vulnerable backgrounds. 
• We promote education training, employment, and independent living for youths with disabilities. 
• In smaller organizations, we build capabilities to create a stronger impact in the lives of people by improving the operational systems. 
• For 600+ students in low-income schools, we enable access to health care information and psycho-social support.

Empowering Education Sector -

Eaton India believes in continuous learning and so does our foundation. We empower underprivileged children to overcome educational barriers and know their potential. 

• Under ‘Adopt A School’ program, we support schools to transform their environment, teaching quality, and community involvement holistically. 
• Sponsoring teaching fellowships to teach in government and low-income schools. 
• Sponsoring fellowships of Design Innovation Centre (DIC) to solve rural and community issues with technological solutions. 
• Our foundation offers scholarships to potential students with a special focus on girls, to achieve their educational goals. 
• We empower college students with skills that are essential to becoming successful as entrepreneurs and employees. 

Conserving Environment - 

The foundation’s water resource management program enables the conservation and management of water resources in the areas most affected by water scarcity. The program works toward repairing the existing water structures in rural areas and providing sustainable livelihoods.

• We work in 5 villages to create water self-sufficiency for over 7000 residents.
• Supporting more than 150 structures’ construction and repairing for water collection and conservation in the region. 
• Building village communities to participate in maintaining watershed structures and promoting practices of judicious use of water. Around 200 families have benefitted through sustainable livelihood interventions.

Contributing to Disaster Relief -

Ever since the inception of the Eaton India Foundation, we have been at forefront of responding to the country's needs in times of crisis. From grocery kits, health care supplies, and vaccinations. We have supported over 35,000 people and helped mitigate the impact of floods, cyclones and more recently COVID has on our communities.

Employees’ impactful volunteerism - 

Eaton India Foundation runs multiple volunteer programs, which match the needs of our communities with employees’ skills and interests. They also get opportunities to drive the programs. Here’s how our employees impact local communities through volunteering.

• 1000+ volunteers dedicate 5000+ hours for various causes and projects every year.
