Among these, Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) is the largest global R&D facility and plays a pivotal role in developing technology solutions for the organization.

EIIC - Our home of innovations

EIIC is a vertically integrated innovation center with a state-of-the-art test facility which supports end-to-end product life cycle management, for virtually all of Eaton’s businesses. From doing front-end research to launching new products into the markets, to providing after-market solutions, EIIC has the ability to provide full spectrum of engineering services to the company. With every new product developed, we continue to enhance customer experience and create new business opportunities. EIIC actively supports Eaton’s digital initiatives by integrating intelligence and making products smart and connected through IoT. It also builds the data analytics layer on top, enabling businesses to generate revenue through data monetization service offerings.

This state-of-the-art innovation center houses over 2700 engineers across a wide-spectrum of domains including mechanical, electrical, electronics, software, systems, data science – to name a few. EIIC’s lab capabilities also span multi-domain including - mechanical product verification and validation testing, characterization labs such as for materials and environmental testing, product tear down capabilities and “soft” labs that cater to the electronics and software development with capabilities around EMI / EMC, Systems Validation (XiL), Power Electronics, Cyber Security, DERMS etc. Our talent and infrastructure capabilities enable engineers to focus on solving customer problems by developing cutting edge technology solutions across Eaton’s core growth areas: Sustainability – climate change and energy efficiency, Digitalization – interconnectivity of products and systems leading to new business models, Electrification and Energy Transition – renewables and the changing grid.
