For decades, Eaton has been manufacturing products in the United States, designed to be used in a wide range of government applications, including schools, courthouses, libraries and state facilities.
Like businesses, governmental entities continue to grow more dependent on digital infrastructure. Ensuring that the public services sector has an uninterrupted supply of clean, efficient and reliable power is critical. Providing protection from power failures will help ensure the integrity of vital services and information that the public relies on.
TAA refers to the Trade Agreements Act (19 U.S.C. & 2501-2581), which is intended to foster fair and open international trade. TAA requires that the U.S. Government may acquire only “U.S. – made or designated country end products. This act requires that contractors must certify that each end product meets the applicable requirements. End products are ‘those articles, materials and supplies to be acquired for public use’.” This includes items which have been “substantially transformed” in the United States.
Eaton’s TAA compliant products are assembled in the U.S.A and are approved to be acquired by the United States Government for use. These products are also compliant with GSA Schedules.
By providing a comprehensive solution from a single source, Eaton's TAA-compliant solutions offer a streamlined customer experience. In addition to peace of mind and compliance with TAA, our integrated approach saves valuable time and enhances overall efficiency, allowing you to focus on core business activities without worrying about managing multiple vendors and complex integration processes.
Eaton's TAA-compliant solutions provide significant cost savings by ensuring compliance with GSA schedule contracts, avoiding penalties associated with non-compliance. Our commitment to environmental sustainability also contributes to extending equipment lifespan and reducing the need for replacements and associated costs.
Eaton solutions empower users to effectively mitigate risk by ensuring vital services remain powered and accessible through any circumstance. We prioritize the security of personnel, data and systems through robust and secure technology, offering a comprehensive approach to risk reduction. Customers can rest assured that critical operations are safeguarded against potential disruptions and security threats.
The policy of Eaton is to incorporate the highest levels of universal accessibility and usability into the design of all of the products it manufactures. Eaton supports federal accessibility legislation such as Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (found at 29 U.S.C.794d); however, Eaton products are exempt from Section 508, according to Section 1194.3 (General Exceptions): " ...products located in spaces frequented only by service personnel for maintenance, repair, or occasional monitoring of equipment are not required to comply with this part."
