Water resource management

At Eaton, we believe that we owe it to future generations to leave the world a little "greener."

The Foundation’s water resource management program enables the conservation and management of water resources in areas most affected by water scarcity. The program  works toward rejuvenating the existing water  structures  in rural pockets and providing sustainable livelihoods. Eaton India Foundation works along with the following partners to implement these objectives:

  • Krushi Vikas va Gramin Prashikshan Sanstha (KVGPS): KVGPS is 25-year-old non-profit organization based in Maharashtra state, endeavoring for Agricultural Advancement and Training for rural development. Since its establishment by local youth from farming families in 1991, the organization has been actively striving for the betterment of rural communities, dependent on agriculture and allied activities for their livelihood. Through its journey, KVGPS has grown as a Resource Organization working for creating Rural Livelihood, Natural Resource Management, Micro Enterprise Development and skills training.
  • Watershed Organization Trust (WOTR): WOTR is 27-year-old organization, recognized widely as a premier institution in the field of participatory Watershed Development and Climate Change Adaptation. Since 2019 Eaton has been supporting 5 villages in the Rahuri and Parner block of Ahmednagar District in Maharashtra, which are drought prone.
